Protecting Our Vital Fresh Water: Our Collaboration with Alliance for the Great Lakes
Some places don't just inspire you, they shape who you are.
For both Chris and me, that place is the Great Lakes. Growing up in Michigan, water wasn't something we visited on vacation. It was always there... on weekend beach days, sunsets that felt endless, cold swims, and epic bonfires. That's probably what shaped our understanding that these lakes are not only beautiful and fun to experience, they're powerful, fragile, and worth protecting.
That's why we're incredible proud to partner with Alliance for the Great Lakes, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the Great Lakes through education, advocacy, and on-the-ground action.
Why the Great Lakes Matter to Us
The Great Lakes hold 20% of the world's surface fresh water. They support millions of people, countless species, and entire ecosystems, but they're also under constant threat from pollution, climate change, and over development.
For us, this partnership is deeply personal. These lakes are part of our story. They're where we learned to love the outdoors, where we still go to reset, and where so many of our memories live.
Supporting their protection feels less like a campaign and more like a responsibility.
Turning Apparel Into Impact
For this partnership, we created a custom apparel design inspired by the Great Lakes by pulling inspiration from their scale, movement, and the quiet power they hold. While the design might be fun, the best part is that a portion of proceeds from every one of these pieces sold is donated directly to Alliance for the Great Lakes, helping to support their work to protect clean water, healthy beaches, and resilient shorelines.
It's our way of using what we create to support and give back to the places that gave us so much.
